If you have a DREAM or God gave you a vision for your life, there is a moment you will make a decision on whether or not you will act upon said dream or vision. Many people don’t make it past this first step. They hold their dream tightly in their fist afraid it will break, all the while, they were always supposed to let it fly.
Once you decide to let go and let God collaborate with you, you have officially given your dream wings! But BUILDING is another hard step because this requires a refining and growing of skills you otherwise did not have. This is where you will have to learn to love the process. This is where there will be growth, pain, failure, and success… all wrapped in one!
As you steadily transition to CULTIVATION, this is where you will have to learn another set of skills that require you to nurture, master, and have a deep strength so that you can continue to forge the path you were set out to create!
That brings me to the last step. Letting something FLY means it’s time to let that dream or vision be everything it was always meant to be, for the people it was always meant to bless. That doesn’t mean you won’t bless others in the other phases or have successes along the way. You absolutely will. What this phase represents is the maturation of that dream into everything it was meant to be. That looks different for everyone.
One key to knowing if you have landed in this phase is whether the people you have served, mentored, and lead become a mentor and leader themself! You can rest in the fact that “success” has been reached when the very thing you were called to build has become a blessing to others.
The beauty of my approach is that it’s not mine to claim. It is biblical. It is the way God always intended. We are called to disciple the nations. We are all given gifts and talents to be used for God’s glory. And when we lean into what He wants to do with us, for us, and through us, that is where you have met your purpose.
